EMERGENCY OPERATIONAL PLAN

• FIRE

In the event a fire should start in a vehicle on tour, all occupants will be removed and fire extinguisher will be used. Fire Service will be called if necessary. Same is applied to a building or a boat.

• ROBBERY

Will try to comply with any demands and try explaining that we are on tour and there isn’t much valuables. Will attempt to get help from nearest police station, 911 or in case of injuries the nearest Hospital or health centre and assistance from public spirited citizens if necessary.

• EVACUTION PLAN

 Depending on the nature of the situation the best options will include calling the police, ambulance, private vehicle escort to the nearest hospital or health centre.

• FIRST AID KIT

First Aid Kit, is kept in all vehicles and with the Tour Operators while on tour. Most of its contents are for treating minor injuries. In the event of major bleeding other forms of bandages like shirts, towels etc. will be used to sustain the injuries.  Also, the use of adhesive bandage a belt, rope, or fabric will be used to twist it tight with a straight object. In the case of a breathing emergency, the Non-Rebreather Mask will be used. Mouth-to-mouth most times results in the person vomiting in your mouth and compromising their airway causing the situation to escalate.

• EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Personnel Training will be conducted often for the Tour Operators and employees, also Basic Life Support CPR is required for all involved in the tour operation.

• EMERGENCY NUMBERS

Numbers for all emergency contacts including Police, Fire Service, Hospitals etc.  will be in all vehicles and other areas visible for all to see and use.

SAFTEY BREIFING BEFORE DEPARTING

Hello, everyone, may I have your full attention please! Welcome…. We will be leaving now for our destination which should take about (the timing).  There are water, drink and snacks, feel free to help yourself. Please place all garbage in bags and bins provided. No smoking in vehicle, in case of emergency there is a First Aid Kit and a Fire Extinguisher. If you need the vehicle to stop urgently to vomit, urine etc please request or signal to do so.
